


State Rep. Donni Steele today welcomed Pastor Steve Sanders of First Baptist Church in Lake Orion to the Michigan House of Representatives to deliver the daily invocation.
“Faith leaders like Pastor Sanders play a vital role in strengthening our communities,” Steele said. “I’m grateful he could join us in Lansing to open today’s session in prayer. His words remind us to serve with humility and keep our focus on the people we represent.”
Pastor Sanders has served the Lake Orion community through ministry, service, and outreach at First Baptist Church. His message to the House called for wisdom, unity, and guidance as lawmakers carry out their work.
Steele represents Michigan’s 54th House District, which includes Lake Orion and surrounding Oakland County communities.
